Carer ConfidentOur benchmarking scheme, Carer Confident, is the first and only UK-wide benchmark specifically recognising carer confident workplaces.

Jointly is Carers Wales mobile and on-line app designed to help carers share and co-ordinate care.  Jointly works by enabling carers to set up a ‘circle of care’ around the person they care for.  Carers can then invite others involved in providing that care – family, friends, neighbours and professionals – so everyone is kept in the loop.

Jointly is available in English and Welsh and carers can purchase the app directly.   However, forward thinking employers are subscribing, to Jointly so that they can offer the app entirely free of charge to carers in their workforce or locality as part of their Wellbeing offer.

The number of working carers in Wales will increase as the population ages and people live longer with disability. In the current economic climate, there has never been a more important time to focus on the benefits of retaining skilled workers. Supporting your employees in work is not only the right thing to do but it makes perfect business sense too.   Good businesses need good people.
