Members Networking Event | Identification and Self-Identification: Recognising and acknowledging carers in the workplace | April 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has plunged an unprecedented number of people into a new caring role, and research from Carers UK shows that 2.8 million people who started caring since the outbreak are also juggling this with paid work. It is now more important than ever that carers are acknowledged in the workplace and employees can identify and recognise themselves as carers.

The event that will be held on Wednesday 21st April 2021, 4.30– 6.00pm will provide an opportunity for members to meet and share any issues or challenges they are experiencing in this area. As well as a providing an opportunity for you as members to exchange insights, we will hear from employers from different sectors about the ways in which their organisations have faced the challenges of recognising and acknowledging working carers. There will be opportunities for questions and discussion throughout the event and an update on latest news and developments from Carers UK.
