Exploring examples of both established and emerging initiatives, we will examine current and potential synergies between staff networks – including how dedicated carers groups are interacting with other networks, and how some networks are joining up more formally. We will look at what ‘intersectionality’ means in practice, i.e. implementing holistic approaches for employees with identities and support needs beyond caring, and the challenges of expanding networks across dispersed workplaces.
We would like to offer members the opportunity to showcase their network initiatives at this event, or to share any current issues or challenges they are addressing. Key activities undertaken by workplace networks within EfC to date, for example, have included any (or all) of the following:
• acting as champions and change agents to promote carer awareness and support
• providing peer support to other carers
• acting as a consultation group or forum to test out the development of workplace policies or practices.
If you are an EfC member, you should have received an invite to this event. If you have not, or you have any further questions please contact us on 020 7378 4956 or firstname.lastname@example.org
