What do you get when you join?

The Employers for Carers membership package includes:

    • Supporting carers in your workforce: an employer’s guide.
    • Supporting working carers: a carer’s guide.
    • A guide to the right to request flexible working.
    • Manager's Handbook: practical tips and case studies for line managers.
    • A training DVD Juggling Work and Care which can also be used to promote carers’ support.
  • Password access to a specialist website full of online practical resources including:
    • A benchmarking tool.
    • Model policies and case studies.
    • Detailed business case.
    • 'Issues and answers' section.
    • Interactive employers’ discussion forum.
    • A dedicated section for employees, explaining their rights and how to get help. 
  • 'Hands on' practical advice and information including an initial one-on-one 'diagnostic' session with one of our specialist consultants who will help you identify practical ways to improve support for carers in your workforce.
  • Access to expert consultancy and training services.
  • Latest information about legal and employment policy through e-bulletins and briefings.
  • Opportunities to network with, and learn from, other employers online and at our events.

What sort of practical issues can you help with? 

Employers for Carers is currently supporting member organisations in a number of ways including help with:

  • Raising awareness of caring and caring issues in the workplace
  • Reviewing and 'carer proofing' current policies and practice
  • Identifying and engaging with carers in the workplace
  • Developing, supporting and managing staff carer networks
  • Training and supporting line managers to implement carer friencly policies
  • Signposting employees to sources of workplace and external support
  • Monitoring and measuring outcomes

 What does it cost to join?

  • Corporate Membership Rate: £2,000 per annum (plus VAT)
  • Reduced Membership Rates: £1,000 per annum (plus VAT) – available to employers with less than 1,000 employees and £500 per annum (plus VAT) – available to employers with less than 500 employees
